Verta Marketing Privacy Policy 

At Verta Marketing Inc. (“Verta Marketing”), we aim to maintain the accuracy, confidentiality  and security of your information. We have developed this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to inform you  of the measures we take to protect your personal information and the ways in which we collect,  use, disclose, and retain this information in order to provide you with our services.  

When you visit or use or, use our platform or use any other products and services (collectively, the “Services”), or any time you interact with us, you  agree to the terms of this Policy as updated from time to time as well as any other terms of the  Services. We encourage you to periodically review our Policy. The Services are not intended for  use by children and should only be accessed by individuals who are at least 18 years old and are  using the Services for business purposes. 

Verta Marketing may be the data controller of your personal information as described in this Policy.  This Policy does not apply to the extent we process personal information on behalf of our  customers, including where we offer an online marketing solution through our SageVerta platform. We are not responsible for the privacy or data security practices of our customers, which may differ  from those set forth in this Policy. If your personal information has been submitted to us by or on  behalf of a Verta Marketing customer and you wish to exercise any rights you may have under  applicable privacy laws, please contact the applicable customer directly.  


Information You Provide to Us 

Certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, job title,  company name, postal mail address, phone number, email, and any other information you choose  to provide may be collected from you when you contact us, create an account with us, use the  Services, fill out a survey, or provide feedback.  

Information about your business may be collected when you use or purchase our Services. The  business information we collect varies depending on the Services you purchase or use and it may  include, but is not limited to, information regarding your business’s financial records, customer  information, social media accounts, etc.  

Information Automatically Collected When You Use the Services 

Our web server may collect information known as “Log Files” related to your visit to our website,  including: the IP address and domain used to access our website; the type and version of your  browser; the website you came from to access our website; the page you entered and exited at; any  website page that is viewed by that IP address; and what country you are from.  

Transactional information is collected for clients that pay for our Services. This includes  information about the transaction, such as purchase details, purchase price, and date and location  of the transaction. Payment and credit card information is collected through the platforms Stripe  and PayPal.  

We also use cookies, which are described below in this Policy.  

Integrations with Other Services 

You may have the option of integrating our Services with other third-party services, technologies,  or platforms on your desktop, permitted websites and/or your mobile phone. For example, both the  Verta Marketing and SageVerta platforms are integrated with Facebook and Google, who may  provide personal information such as name, email, address, and phone number if such information 

has not already been provided. This information is only collected from these third parties if you  choose to use our integrated services with them. Choosing to integrate our Services with a third  party may require you to input personal information and/or may result in the disclosure of your  personal information from the Services to the third party. Please note that when you enable an  integration between the Services and a third party, any personal information transmitted to a third  party will be subject to the policies and procedures of that third party and not Verta Marketing.  


The information we collect is used to provide, maintain, and improve our Services. Examples of  ways we use your personal information include:  

  • Providing and delivering the Services you request from us 
  • Contact you to respond to questions, comments, or requests you send to us 
  • Verifying accounts and activity, investigate suspicious activity and enforce our terms and  policies to promote the security of our Services 
  • Provide you with the necessary functionality you need to use any of the Services
  • Manage your user account with us 
  • Process payments for Services we provide and deliver to you 
  • Monitor our website and develop and improve our Services  
  • Identify new potential customer opportunities  
  • Send you marketing communications, and evaluate the effectiveness of those marketing  communications 
  • We analyze usage information, your feedback, support queries, and survey responses to  help us understand and make improvements to the Services 

We only retain your personal information for the period of time required to use the information for  the purposes described above. We delete all your personal information after this period of time has  elapsed. If we are unable to delete your personal information from our systems due to technical  reasons, we will enact appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is not further  used.  


Our products and services do not address children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect  personal identifiable information from children under the age of 18. In the case we discover that a  child under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this  from our servers. When you visit our websites, a “cookie” is placed on the memory of your device to track your visit.  A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to the memory of your device through your web  browser that can only be read by the website that placed the cookie. The cookie acts as an  identification card and allows us to track your visit to the website. This information is used to better 

understand your use of our website so that we can customize and tailor the website to better meet  your needs.

  • Performance and Analytics cookies – These track how the site is used by the user in order  for Verta Marketing to enhance the performance of the Services and website and customize  it according to user preferences. We cannot assume any responsibility for the privacy practices, policies or actions of the  third parties that operate these websites. Verta Marketing is not responsible for how such third  parties collect, use or disclose your information.  


Within the company, we limit access to personal information to those who need it to perform their  jobs. Your personal information may be shared with our employees, contractors, consultants,  affiliates and other third parties who require such information to assist us with providing our  services to you. Individuals who are permitted to handle your personal information must adhere to  confidentiality obligations. In addition, personal information may be disclosed or transferred to  another party in the event of a change in ownership of, or a grant of a security interest in, all or a  part of Verta Marketing. We may collect, use or disclose your personal information without your  knowledge or consent where we are required by applicable law or regulatory requirements to do  so.  

Under this Policy, Verta Marketing is not responsible in any manner for direct, indirect, special or  consequential damages, however caused, arising out of sharing your personal information in the  manner described above.  


By using our website, interacting with us, or doing business with us, we assume that you have  consented to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as explained in this  Policy. 

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions  and reasonable notice. In some circumstances, a change in or withdrawal of consent may severely  limit our ability to provide products or services to, or acquire products or services from, you. Verta Marketing endeavors to maintain physical, technical and procedural safeguards that are  appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information in question. This includes encrypting data  and protecting it using a password protection and security software. These safeguards are designed  to prevent your personal information from loss and unauthorized access, copying, use, modification  or disclosure. 

Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage can be  guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information,  we cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be lost, used unlawfully or modified  in a fraudulent manner. Once we receive your personal information, we make commercially  reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our systems. 


It is important that the information contained in our records is both accurate and current. If your  personal information happens to change during the course of our relationship, please keep us  informed of such changes.  

In some circumstances we may not agree with your request to change your personal information  and will instead append an alternative text to the record in question.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), among other rights, you may have certain  additional protections including: 

  • The right to access the categories and specific pieces of personal information that we  collect;

  • The right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we  hold of you; 
  • The right to request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain limitation  under applicable laws;

  • The right to object to our processing of your personal information, subject to certain  limitations under applicable laws; and

Verta Marketing from time to time, may make changes to this Policy to reflect changes in its legal  or regulatory obligations or in the manner in which we deal with the information we collect from  you. We will post any revised version of this Policy on our website and  we encourage you to refer back to it on a regular basis. Any changes made to this Policy are  effective immediately after they are posted on our website. This Policy was last updated on August  5th, 2020.  


This Policy includes examples but is not intended to be restricted in its application to such  examples; therefore where the word “including” or “include” is used, it shall mean “including  without limitation”. 

This Policy does not create or confer upon any individual any rights, or impose upon Verta  Marketing any obligations outside of, or in addition to, any rights or obligations imposed by  applicable privacy laws. Should there be, in a specific case, any inconsistency between this Policy  and applicable privacy laws, this Policy shall be interpreted, in respect of that case, to give effect  to, and comply with, such applicable privacy laws.
